Hopefully, before clicking on this page you will have already had a good idea of what all of the elected Officers and Reps do. However, if you'd like an even more comprehensive understanding of the roles and responsibilities please click here.
Once you’ve found the position you’d like to apply for, you’ll need to complete ALL of the following steps. Your application will NOT be complete without completing ALL of the steps that apply to you.
1 - Log in to the website by clicking 'Login' at the top (you'll need to click on the 'Sign In With Your University Credentials' button on the page you are taken to)
2 - Click on the 'STAND IN ELECTION' link at the bottom of this page & follow the process
3 – There are then 3 different things you will need to do. Under the ‘MANIFESTO’ section, you will be asked to upload a photo of yourself and provide the details of your 5 proposers. All proposers must be current University of Wolverhampton students. Under the ‘FORM’ section you need to complete the manifesto questions and return them to t.swainson@wlv.ac.uk or bring the completed questions to the SU Reception. This all needs to be completed before 12pm, Thursday 20th October). You can access either of these sections by clicking ‘REVIEW NOMINATIONS’.
4 - Read and sign the Candidate Code of Conduct (hand in at City or Walsall SU reception before 12pm Thursday 20th October), to download a copy of the Code of Conduct document please click here.
If we do not receive all of the documents by the deadline, which is 12pm Thursday 20th October you will be ineligible to stand in the elections. This is non-negotiable.
We will only accept elections materials (manifesto, declaration forms, etc.) from individual candidates directly and will not accept any documents for any candidate via a third party.
