NUS Annual Conference Delegate Candidate: Colin Laing
My name is Colin Laing. For the past 18 months I have been the Student Representative for UWBS. So far, I’ve vocally represented students’ views on Learning Works, been a part of the relocation of Business School to City Campus, as well an active member of the team that has restructured the Student Voice System, and on the Student Union Council.
These are what lead me to represent you as a delegate at this years’ NUS Conference.
I pledge that, if selected, I shall:
• Vote for the National Executive candidates that I feel shall best represent the interests of ALL students at the University of Wolverhampton
• Vote in favour of all motions that I consider to benefit the Wolverhampton student population most effectively
• Network with other NUS delegates to see how their ideas might benefit the University of Wolverhampton
• Use this networking opportunities to forge alliances and friendships with other university Student Unions – both locally and nationally, and work with them to help benefit our students in this difficult period
I have enjoyed my role in the Business School for the past 18 months where a great many things have been achieved , and I would like to use these skills to help the 21,000 other students at this university as well over the next academic year.
