SSPAL School Rep (Undergraduate): Sophie Hall

I am currently a student representative for level 4 Event and Venue Management. I am an enthusiastic, confident individual with the ability to put forward opinions with respect and vigilance. I am creative and have innovative ideas which inspire me to achieve goals and meet deadlines. During my time as course representative I have raised several views from students and I always ensure that I report back to them once the problem has been looked into as I think it is important for students to know that their view is heard and reacted upon. I am a hard-working individual who manages time effectively and works well in a number of learning environments. I consider myself to have excellent communication skills, I am understanding and sensitive to the feelings of others which is why I am keen to make positive changes within the University. I aim to develop the communication between students and student representatives to make sure that each and every voice is heard.  As a SSPAL school representative I would want to ensure that all students were given the guidance and support they needed throughout their time at university. I would request regular discussions with staff and students to achieve this. I also want to see more fun-filled activities and events within the school to allow students to meet people from outside of their course and to share thoughts about the progression of their qualifications and experiences.  I hope to inspire students and to be their voice.
