Susan Webster - Environmental Officer Candidate

This year has been another great year as Environmental Officer and if re-elected I would like to carry on and do more to make our University a great and greener place.

As well as getting halls fitted with energy saving light bulbs I want to campaign for better recycling facilities and more recycling bins.

I would like to make our Green Week even better next year with more varied activities, a better Green Fayre, more information stalls, and petitions for campaigns such as stopping the dirty practise of tar sands extraction.

Climate change is a growing concern and I  want to encourage students to go green and help to reduce this by switching off all lights and computers not in use and to get our University to be involved in the SNAP IT OFF Campaign.

All food in restaurant and shops to be Fairtrade where possible

I have learnt a lot more during this year and feel ready to carry on in the role of Environment Officer should I be re-elected.
