What experience do you have that will help you in this role?
In past academic year 2016-2017 I won the election for the Faculty Rep of Law School. During the year I have dealt with number of issues, such as academic appeals, time table clashes, etc. Students' satisfaction was priority to me.
What made you want to nominate yourself for this position?
Being honest, I used to love co-operate with course reps and other students in order to improve things in uni. I have got very good memories and I hope that I helped many students. As I progressed with my studies I think I can now talk on behalf of postgraduate students.
What do you think is the biggest issue students face in your faculty and how would you try to help resolve it?
As far I am aware that students are afraid of asking for help, for number of reasons: shame, sometimes they are treated in unprofessional manner. I would offer students one- to- one sessions once -twice a week to have a simple chat about their issues and provide them a guidance.
Describe a time you created change or had a positive impact that benefited other people.
The most memorable time I have is regarding CAB, when I was asking to see an elderly gentleman and provide him general advice about his enquiry, but I went further and provided him with some life advice. I have never seen him again, but after few months his son came over and was thankful.
