What experience do you have that will help you in this role?
Past employment titles have seen me highlight issues and after that rapidly provide a solution to resolve the issue. The past two years at University have enabled me to become extremely aware of student expectations across the University in addition to pinpointing student concerns.
What made you want to nominate yourself for this position?
As a student myself, I feel that it is important that the views from students are represented to our Students’ Union and the University. Becoming Faculty Rep for FOSS (Leisure) would enable me to raise issues which concern myself and other fellow students from the faculty.
What do you think is the biggest issue students face in your faculty and how would you try to help resolve it?
Listening to discussions within my faculty, I have found that students experience difficulties when trying to balance University work and leisure time over the Christmas break. I would like to help resolve this issue by highlighting timetable and deadline date concerns across the University.
Describe a time you created change or had a positive impact that benefited other people.
Earlier this year I created change with two other students by raising over £1000 for a local children’s charity in Wolverhampton. Volunteering and fundraising is something which I would encourage all students to take part in as it can really benefit those who may be disabled or less privileged.
