Name: Liene Huna (Success)
Describe Yourself In 3 Words: Friendly, Trustworthy & Ambitious
Why should students vote for you & how would you change their student experience for the better?:
Hi :) I am Liene, an enthusiastic second year BA Accounting and Finance student. I am standing as Social Sciences Faculty Rep as I want the opportunity to continue the course representative work I have been doing so far and make a difference to the student experience, as personally have experienced number of issues relating to my course and the faculty overall.
I consider student participation to be crucial in any educational institution and also here at the University of Wolverhampton, where decisions are easily made without consideration of students in case we are not on the watch. I have noticed that students are afraid to speak or leaving the issues aside.
We are the main people at the university and the high tuition fees we are paying should meet our needs. If I alone have noticed that there is a number of improvements to be made across the faculty and university in general, thus I believe there is more to be done if we combine our experiences.
I will be there if you have concerns, educational improvement suggestions or to help communicating between students in various groups. Having me on the faculty board means that you can be sure to be informed of any student – relevant issue that rises on the faculty level.
Thanks for taking the time to read my manifesto.
