While the uni bars are shut, and government restrictions are making it harder to socialise in person, we are putting on 2 fun virtual friends meet for all new starters to give you the chance to get to know some new people.
We realise the first couple of months at University haven’t been what you’d hoped, and we know you’re looking for fun and safe ways to meet new people, so this weekend we are putting on a virtual event for you to meet some new people.
You’ll be sent a link to join a zoom call, and once you’re in there, you’ll be greeted by a friendly host who will split you up into small groups of around 5 people for 20 minutes at a time, up to 4 times. You’ll be given a fun task to do such as a quiz or creative task which you can complete together while getting to know each other. You can safely exchange contact details to keep your conversations going with them afterwards, and arrange another time to meet. This event will be accessible with a BSL interpreter
