Details

To provide a first point of contact for students accessing the Advice and Representation

Centre, using various access platforms from in person to digital.

2. Assess and process all enquiries, providing accurate and up to date information/support

and initial advice where possible and refer detailed and complex cases onto advisors as

necessary.

3. To support the wider organisation during campaign periods and busy periods throughout

the year as directed by the Head of Engagement.

4. To contribute to the development and delivery of the SU Strategic Plan

5. To contribute information in preparation for reports/meetings.

6. To provide administrative support across the Students’ Union Advice and Representation

7. To lead on the facilitation of the welcome desk. Ensuring timely recruitment of student

staff and rota preparation amongst other duties.

8. To comply with the Belonging team budget and managing purchase orders, only

activating spend on the advice of the Head of Engagement.

9. To suggest improvements to systems and processes based on student experience and

student feedback.

10. To liaise, as directed with appropriate stakeholders across the Union, University and

students.

11. To provide data to the elected leadership of the Students’ Union on work delivered.

12. To demonstrably embed the values of the organisation in all delivered work.

13. To contribute to the development of a sense of teamwork across the organisation.

14. To keep up to date with any relevant training or support packages that could be relevant

to your roll to ensure the service is operating at maximum potential.

15. To assist with general administration tasks and roles as required by the wider Student’s Union team according to business needs.
