About Us

The University of Wolverhampton Students' Union is an independent charity that represents all 23,000 students studying at the University of Wolverhampton. Here at the Students' Union our goal is to provide you a memorable University experience filled with new friends, interests and notable achievements, by placing students at the heart of everything we do, through our mission, vision and values.

Our Mission To be at the heart of the student community, making life better, amplifying student voices, providing exciting opportunities and delivering services with impact.

To achieve this we offer a range of services including advice, societies events and elections.

Here at the Students' Union we offer a range of services to all of our students with the goal of providing you the best university experience.

Academic Representation Here at the SU we represent and support all students during their academic journey. Through our school reps attending school councils, our liberation reps hosting events for liberaton groups and our elected Sabbatical Officers leading the SU and encourging change within the University, we make sure your academic experience is a positive experience.

Advice & Representation Centre Our Advice & Representation Centre offers free, impartial, independent and confidential advice and representation for all students at the University of Wolverhampton. They are able to provide advice on a range of issues from academic, housing, finance to being a student carer and more.

Campuses The Students' Union currently exists across three campuses of the University of Wolverhampton. While the SU is mainly based in Wolverhampton we do provide services and something unique across all three campuses, so come and visit us at each campus.
If you are having trouble travelling to any of the campuses the University offers a FREE inter-site shuttle bus to all students to all campuses.

Charity & Company Information

As your Students' Union, with status as a company and a charity, we're required to report our finances to the Charities Commission and Companies House each year. Our primary funder is the University of Wolverhampton, who funds the bulk of our services through a block grant. Almost all Students' Unions in the United Kingdom are funded in a similar fashion. We also generate income from the Walsall SU Lounge and Business Development, the profits of which are put straight back into services we run for you.

Our financial year runs from 1 August-31 July.
